Company Overview
Founded in 1924—and approaching its 100th season—the Amarillo Symphony continues to be a cultural leader of the Panhandle of Texas and the surrounding communities. With an annual operating budget of $1.9 million, the Symphony performs 7 double subscription concerts each season, Holiday Pops concerts, and education and community engagement performances to serve a variety of populations in a 25,000 square mile area per year. Over recent seasons, the organization has experienced a period of rapid growth including artistic enhancements, deepened community impact, and financial success, resulting in the orchestra becoming a premier ensemble of the southwestern region of the United States.
